Relief Operations is the heart of SLB’s disaster response management which aims to provide for the basic needs of the people in affected areas like food, clothing, shelter and medicine in times of crises situation.

In the past eight years, Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan has actively led relief operations (fund raising, relief delivery and follow-up support) for the victims and survivors of every major calamity in the country. Beginning with the massive flooding in several parts of Luzon in 1999, followed by the Payatas dump garbage slide of the same year, the Mayon eruption of 2000 and with the flooding in Cagayan De Oro City, SLB became known and is trusted by the extended Ateneo communities as the primary delivery channel for cash and in-kind donations for the survivors. For the past four years alone, SLB has cumulatively raised and delivered relief services with the total amount of P15.8M gathered from its constituents. In doing so, it has united Filipinos from all walks of life to help other Filipinos in need.
